What she says: I’m fine

What she means: In Howl’s Moving Castle Sophie goes back in time and witnesses Howl making his original deal with Calcifer thus discovering the way to break Howl’s curse and before she leaves she tells Howl to find her in the future and if you recall to the beginning of the movie Howl saves Sophie from some highly questionable and rapey soldiers and tells her “there you are sweetheart, sorry I’m late, I’ve been looking everywhere for you” because he took what she told him as a child to heart and has been looking for her ever since and if that’s not the tightest shit ever I don’t know what is

Sansa Stark literally burned her sheets when she got her period because she knew it meant the people watching her would expect her to have children she didn’t want with a man she despises don’t you ever fucking tell me that Sansa Stark is whiny or pathetic Sansa is smarter than she’s ever given credit for and just because she doesn’t have dragons or swords doesn’t mean she’s any less of a fighter than the other characters

#sansa haters will be my origin story (@riahchan)

the friends writers fucked up by not making rachel green a lesbian. it just makes a lot of sense, ok?

  • she grew up putting her desires aside to keep her ‘upper class girl’ persona intact. she had no freedom, and basically only did what was expected of her.
  • barry, for example. she didn’t love him, but he would have provided stability, and marrying him seemed the ‘right’ thing to do.
  • in fact, she never learnt how to have healthy romantic relationships and in season 8 she realises it.
  • since she cannot date, she spends her time thinking back on her past relationships. how domineering, jealous, and possessive men were with her, and how she only accepted it bc she had no role models growing up.
  • she doesn’t want to be in a loveless marriage, like her parents. she wants to be happy. so when joey proposes, she turns him down for a second time.
  • they remain platonic, and their close friendship makes them both grow. he gets more in touch with women and his feelings, and she finds herself in the company of men but enjoying single life.
  • she wants emma to have a close relationship with her half brother, so she hangs out with carol and susan.
  • carol and rachel start by joking about ross, but then they start talking about more personal topics.
  • like, compulsory heterosexuality and all the struggles carol went through.
  • rachel is so touched?? she just loves carol and susan, they have a lovely relationship and she feels at home with them.
  • and then she starts to think about her college friend, the kisses they shared, and how she didn’t have time to *actually* think about what happened because she had other things in mind.
  • pregnancy and all that.
  • so she goes to joey, and the rest of season 9 is the two of them trying to figure out if rachel likes women. he teaches her how to pick up girls, and she starts dating this really cute one.
  • she’s wary because it’s her first same sex relationship and she’s all nervous. the other one is patient, shenanigans ensue, but they end up kissing.
  • they get into a very loving relationship.
  • she comes out to the friends. joey acts like a proud dad. monica and chandler are supportive but a bit shocked. phoebe, though? she is not surprised.
  • ross complains about how the mothers of both his children turned out to be lesbians but who gives a fuck about what ross thinks??
  • friends ends with rachel happy, moving in with her fashionable girlfriend. they decorate the apartment, visit each other at work, paint the other’s nails, cook together. life is just a fun sleepover.
  • so, yeah. lesbian!rachel
